What should you check before buying?
Look at your kitchen before comparing furniture features. Five criteria usually remove the models that do not fit.
- Use. A worktop needs a full tower; a sink or toilet may only need a step stool.
- Floor and storage space. Measure both the working position and where the tower will be stored.
- Platform height. An adjustable platform can be lowered as your child grows.
- Access. Your child should be able to climb in and out calmly without the furniture sliding.
- A second use. A table mode only adds value if it replaces another piece of furniture.
Which height fits my worktop?
Measure the worktop and the distance from your child’s sole to breastbone. The difference is approximately the platform height needed. The breastbone should sit just above the worktop.

Wooden and Montessori learning towers
A wooden tower can feel sturdy, repair well and look calm in a kitchen, but “wood” alone does not describe the exact board, finish or care. Check the product page for those details.
“Montessori learning tower” usually means that the furniture supports independence. It is not a safety certification. Stability, dimensions, correct assembly and supervision still matter more than the label.

Always use a tower indoors, on a level floor and under direct adult supervision. Check the fastenings regularly and keep it away from hot hobs and unsafe edges.
